God’s great plan has always been known by the Alpha, the Omega, and the Word
Now, through His powerful Holy Spirit, it must be spread and forever heard!
God’s legions must get forever vigilant and fulfill the Great Commission
that was charged to us by the Word Himself when He fulfilled His holy mission.”

Some “Ferris” History

The original Ferris Wheel was built in 1893 by Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania bridge builder George Washington Gale Ferris. (First cousin to Ms. Arfaa’s grandfather John Estill Ferris Sr.) The Ferris wheel was originally built for the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago but was also later reconstructed for the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis. It had a maximum height of 264 feet and a wheel diameter of 250 feet.

Mr. Ferris began his career in the railroad industry and then pursued an interest in bridge building. He founded G.W.G. Ferris and Company in Pittsburgh, a firm that tested and inspected metals for railroads and bridge builders.

The original Ferris Wheel had 36 passenger cars, each fitted with 40 revolving chairs and able to accommodate up to 60 people, giving a total capacity of 2,160 individuals! Everyone recognized the engineering marvel the wheel represented, as a giant wheel that would turn slowly and smoothly without structural failure had never before been attempted.
